Mental Illness Impacting Youth, with High Suicides Rates. The youth today are in trouble, suffering from several kinds of mental illnesses ranging from depression, anxiety, trauma, loneliness and suicidality.
Worldwide, more than 800,000 people die due to suicide each year. It is estimated that about 1.5 million people will die due to suicide by the year 2020. This stat was before the pandemic. The age of suicides during the pandemic in youth ranged from 10 to 19 years. See links below from a few articles talking about the increase in youth suicides during the pandemic and still continuing.

During the pandemic my son was 17 and had a mental crisis. He was hositalized and til this date he continues to battle mental illness. He was diagnosed with psychosis, depression , anxiety, and was suicidal a few times due the the mental instability stating he couldnt take it anymore. Its Very sad and difficult as a family trying to keep him going day by day. But we turned to jesus and started going back to church and praying a lot. The faith has helped him
